In 2008 Snagging Overseas began offering services in Cape Verde. Starting with clients on the Tecnicil development of Vila Verde Santa Maria, we rapidly took on clients from the other developments of Dunas by the Resort Group, Tortugas, also by the Resort Group and then Paradise Beach.

Since then we have arranged for snagging for more than 400 clients on Sal Island and are contracted by many owners to clean their property. Our clients are very satisfied with our operation in Cape Verde that we have also been requested to assist them with utility connections, general legal problems, recommendations for insurance, banks and even currency brokers.

Although the Republic of Cape Verde is spread across ten islands, we have a presence in three of the islands. On Sal we have our main presence followed by the island of Sau Vicente – the town of Mindelo has a development called Copacabana and we have done quite a bit of work there. Finally on the island of Santiago we have been snagging and cleaning some properties in Sambala Developmentin Praia, the capital city of Cape Verde.

Snagging Overseas have been engaged by clients of to snag their Cape Verde property on practically all of the developments, both major and not so major, on the island of Sal. Perhaps the best known property development on Sal Island is Vila Verde Resort at Santa Maria. Built by Cape Verdean developer Tecnicil. Vila Verde Resort has more than 1200 units in a large plot of land on the second line. There are villas, townhouses and apartments and the development is divided into 13 blocks or “communities” as Tecnicil call them. Each of these communities are named after flowers. The first three communities to be finalised and therefore snagged by ourselves were Canna, Sedum and Aloe. These were then followed by Coprosma, Atriplex and Pepper. There were some pauses in amongst these completions and some interesting snags that were recurring or just plain strange. We made a whole blog entry about these.
