Snagging Overseas began operating in Portugal in 2005. We have been involved with all kinds of properties in Portugal from the small little “Quintas” to the larger better known developments.

Our first snagging was carried out in Tavira in Quinta de Pegada, in the Algarve and since then we have snagged many different developments and properties. Perhaps the most popular developments have had some or all of their units snagged and cleaned by Snagging Overseas.

Snagging Overseas has not remained working only in the Algarve either. We worked on properties in the Quinta de Anjo area of the so called Blue Coast near Lisbon and have been well known as being the most hired company to snag properties on the colourful Palmela Village, the Tomás Taveira designed modern development at Palmela.

We were commissioned two years ago by clients who had purchased property in Alto do Moinho, in the norther town of Nazaré, in Portugal’s Silver Coast. Snagging in Portugal

To snag your property in Portugal is no different to snagging property elsewhere. We will visit the property and make a thorough inspection of the property. We will make a clear and accurate inventory of any and all defects that we come across, in many cases taking photographs of the snags for you, and then we give the developer a copy of this snag report. This report is given to him in Portuguese so there can be no misunderstandings as to what needs to be done. We also send a copy of this report to your legal advisers and a copy of the report, in English to you. The reports are made in plain, simple language with photographic support so that both you and the builder can see what needs to be done.

The developer will then notify you that we can then return to the property to ensure all remedial work has been done. We will again produce a report and send all of the relevant parties a copy.

Independence

One of the biggest advantages of using a third party snagging and inspection company like Snagging Overseas is that we are totally independent of the builders, the lawyers and the agents.
